Let me start this by saying that I'm still very new to critiquing and to saying anything more in-depth about photographs than how gorgeous they are, lol. So don't hit me if this turns out to be ridiculous. (It IS a gorgeous shot, though.) I feel like the whole sunset/dawn through trees idea is a bit overdone, but you created something simultaneously tranquil and exhilarating nonetheless; the sunlight coming through those trees is strong and pure and beautiful, and I love the way you managed to capture how it tinted the road and the trees that lovely rose amber. I'm curious about how this would look if you'd been standing with your back to the sun (which you managed to conveniently catch hidden behind a tree-- you clever artist, you).
The contrasts here are also brilliant-- you did really well, z.
I hope this was at least somewhat informative/helpful. -_-
This is really just a magnificent shot. It's hard to do much more than jibber and point, it's that beautiful to me. The color of the light and the way it streams so...softly is just stunning. I love the fog too, it adds to the mystic look of the over-all shot. But really, just...amazing. Thank you for this.
Amazing. When I saw the image I got a message of war and peace. The right side of the road represents peace and the world we want and the other is conflict and war with the not so subtle look of an atomic bomb going off. The road felt to me like this is our lives. How we ride down the middle of each either in our world or internally. In a way you could say this is also a more graphical representation of yin and yang. Darkness and light.
