Before I actually critique this photo, I'm going to take the liberty of explaining the title to the people reading this. "Catholic School Girls Rule" is a song by the Red Hot Chili Peppers, from the early 1980s, before they were famous. The song is basically about deviant Catholic school girls who do absolutely everything the Bible tells them not to do.
Anyway, let me start the real critique by saying that I am constantly amazed by your ability to take such well-constructed self portraits. I'm not sure if you go through a lot of trial and error to get them right, but most of the time it's impossible to tell you didn't have a photographer there.
I can see where you're going with this photo (probably because I know and love the song), and I think you've done a reasonably good job of executing it, but there is definitely room for improvement. The outfit is perfect - very sexy and suggestive, with gorgeous shoes, and the rosary is a very professional finishing touch. Overall the outfit strikes me as rebellious and fairly believable.
The pose is interesting, and while it does highlight your attractive body, I don't think it quite hits the mark. By not looking at the camera and shrouding your face with your hair, you've detached yourself from the viewer. Also, the leg across your body "closes" you. To be totally blunt, I think a photo based on Catholic School Girls Rule should pretty much be screaming "COME AND F**K ME!" A more traditionally sexy pose, or a close-up of your face looking particularly lascivious - something like the facial expression in [link] for example - would have really given this image the impact it needed, I think.
As a guy who does landscapes, the blown out sky is a little bit off-putting to me; but this is a portrait so that's not actually important. You've exposed well and the light looks natural. Plus with the shallow depth of field, the blown out sky actually creates a cold, hazy feel which works well with your pose so give the photo a little bit of a sexual aura. Just not enough.
Overall though, this photo is a fairly good representation of your considerable talent at both photography and modeling.
I think that actually you don't know what are you talking about. A Catholic School doesn't have to have a strict rule which makes all the students wear an uniform. There are some that only have uniform for Sport classes, and are completely normal, a t-shirt with sweatpants. The thing I'm trying to say is, boys and girls can be dressed whatever they like in those schools, knowing that they're going to school and not to a fashion show.
But actually, if the result you wanted was to impact, you did! There are some things that probably wouldn't be allowed in that kinds of school like the hair or the boots, or the t-shirt she's wearing... Are you sure about not changing the title? Anyway, that's what makes the photo special. Also the contrast of the colors between the boots, her hair, the grass... Makes the scene a little bit more interesting. It represents the rebellion of the teenagers, that are in school (a defined group) and want to define themselves, to be different.
In summary, very good work and... "polemic title".
i played saxiphone until my lungs drowned with pain past the limit of my subconscious tolerance and chemical balance; maybe you'll hear it; and not percieve the tears. Years past your image is still perfect as a zillion grains sand plus heat and glass.
