This is a lovely photo, there are a number of things I like about this that make it work in a unique way.
Firstly, the eyes grab you from the start, it's a stare that demands your attention and almost questions you. The makeup used also enhances this stare, and it really becomes the focal point for the piece.
Secondly is the hair, it's wonderfully striking, but maybe struggles to suit the otherwise pink and pastel piece. It's nice in contrast with those staring eyes though, and so tends to work somewhat well with the piece. I prefer a fluffier kind of hair style usually, but that is a part of your artistic choice here and perhaps lends more attention to those all important eyes that might not remain the focal point if a crazy hair style was used.
Lastly, I love square compositions, and the way that the shadow sits behind the model and light colour scheme really add to it in an almost vintage kind of way. I don't think I like the nose ring much here, I'm usually not too fussed about facial piercings but here the ring seems too big and takes away from the focus on the brilliantly pink lips that so perfectly suit the skin and pale pink top.
This is all a matter of personal taste though and don't let it discourage you, I've just tried to look at how the image flows for me as a viewer and you may find others who see it differently.
