What immediately stands out to me, upon the first glance, are the contrasts: black, white and gray areas. Hence why I have to note that the only bit that strikes me as bad are the unnoticeable shoes; equally black as the corset and the gloves, they could have made for an interesting black detail, but instead sort of blend in with their mediocrity.

That said, the pose is quite a common one, which in and of itself is not a bad thing. A little bit of Jesus imagery is rarely ever bad, if done right. The way the shadow encompasses the body - from the face, over the breasts, the hips and down along the legs and the feet - is just the right amount, and while a keen mind would find the make-up, the hairstyle and the facial expression to be lacking in artistic vision and to not match the composition, there would be some disagreement on the part of this particular critic, for it accentuates hints of modern interwoven with the elements of old (the corset, in particular; the aforementioned Jesus pose as well) and it doesn't necessarily harm the overall result.

All in all, I would rank this particular piece a success. Artistic semi-nudity at its finest.
